You must have a High School Diploma or GED.
Daily responsibilities for Bed Bug Heat Technicians:
Maintain heat treatment service vehicle with the proper inventory of equipment and materials.
Travel to customer homes and businesses to provide bed bug remediation services.
Set up, monitor, and tear down equipment needed for heat treatments.
Prepare environment to be treated; move furniture and other items as needed.
Adhere to company and governmental rules and regulations.
Keep required records of service; submit reports as needed.
Ensure customers are kept informed as required, or as appropriate.
Physical Requirements for Bed Bug Heat Technicians:
Walking, Climbing, Seeing Walk mile in less than 5 minutes Climb a ladder with up to 10 lbs Climb over and on top of structures Ascend and descend stairs Visually inspect for pests, pest harborage, pest entries, etc.
Physical Capacities for Bed Bug Heat Technicians:
Lift 50 lbs.
of tools or equipment up to 50 in height Carry 50 lbs.
of tools or equipment 100 ft.
Vertically lift 130 lbs of tools or equipment Push/pull 100 lbs.
of equipment Push/pull 150 lbs.
of equipment on-ramp and stairs Body Positioning for Bed Bug Heat Technicians:
Crouch, kneel, or squat position for 5 minutes Forward bend/stoop 30 degrees for 5 minutes Crawl through 18 by 14 opening Work overhead for a minimum of 3 minutes Working Conditions for Bed Bug Heat Technicians:
Tolerate a variety of environmental conditions, including seasonal weather, damp and/or dusty locations Tolerate confined spaces Work in spaces where physical mobility is limited Work in variable conditions including temperatures in excess of 120 degrees Fahrenheit, and with a wide array of insects and rodents Compensation and Benefits for Bed Bug Heat Technicians:
